info about me

Hiya! I'm Jesseca, yes with an 'e' because I'm special. Anyway, I'm currently in college with a Cinema major and a Computer Science minor and my hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, graphic design, and, of course, roleplaying. I do journal-based, forum-based, and even some D&D and Vampire: The Masquerade. I've been RPing for close to four years now, which to me doesn't seem like very long, but to others it's a lot more commitment than they'd expect from me =P Now this journal here is an OOC one, I have a personal journal on LJ and a whole bunch of other random character journals to keep myself organized. I'm in the process of revamping everything, but I thought it best to start with this first, as it is helpful when getting people to RP with me. As of late, I've taken a break from RPing (and by taken a break I mean I've cut the amount down to at least one as I found it quite weird not being a part of any games). I've been trying to work on my writing and drawing, which is why I've cut down. However, if I find a game that really grabs my attention, I'll probably join because I can't help myself and I love making new characters. But now onto the rules and whatnot. I do mostly any type of game that isn't slash/femme or celeb/faux-celeb. This includes but is not limited to supernatural, fantasy, historical, mob, city-based (if it has a twist), pan-fandom, specific fandoms, etc. I haven't done HP in a while and I haven't read Twilight (nor do I plan to). My main fandoms are Supernatural, SereniFly, Doctor Who/Torchwood, True Blood, Night Watch, Battlestar Galactica, X-Men, Boondock Saints, and Stargate SG-1/Atlantis. I also have a lot of other fandoms, so if you're curious what they are, leave me a comment. It doesn't hurt to ask ;) Third person past only, as I prefer the normal storybook type of writing. I also prefer posts to be multiple paragraphs (somewhere between 2 & 5) and I cannot and will not do single lines or anything that happens between symbols (ie *She did blah blah*). I also prefer proper grammar, but seeing how I'm not a perfect with the English language, I won't be a nazi about it. I've over 18, so I'm fine with 18+ content like gore, violence, sexuality, etc. However, I've never been comfortable with getting graphic with sexual situations, so it'll either fade to black or be heavy with the euphemisms. Violence, gore and stuff of that nature, go ahead and be as graphic as you want...I'm a horror movie fan so that doesn't bother me. I usually do group RPs, but I'm starting to prefer PSLs or something with only a few people. For the group ones, I also prefer smaller comms like around 20 people or so. Comms with 50 and up members just intimidate me for some reason. Also, I prefer threading rather than AIM logs, because I'm usually not on AIM long enough to have a decent log. I've also started to use Google Docs, so I may be up for a thread that way. As for PBs, I mostly play girls, but if there's a really awesome SL or I feel like a guy would fit in with a comm better, I'll play him. I have a list here of who I usually play, but I'm always open to suggestions. Other than that, if you have any questions, comments, or plot ideas, let me know in a PM or comment here. =]
